Fans have been waiting for so long for "Kingdom Hearts 3." Finally fans can get a glimpse of the new installment as it has been revealed that the game will have a major participation at the upcoming E3 2016.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, in a recent interview, producer Hironori Okayama revealed that new information about "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be revealed at the trade show. Okayama is closely related to the franchise as the producer of the mobile game "Kingdom Hearts: Unchained χ."

Yibada surmises that since the annual E3 event is considered one of the biggest trade shows in the gaming industry, publisher Square Enix may chose the event to finally reveal when "Kingdom Heart 3" will come out. In addition, the industry follower added that new details about a PC version are also expected to come out.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is confirmed to be released as a console title, for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. However, the observer points out that since Square Enix is keen on a PC version of another franchise installment, "Final Fantasy XV," then the same can also happen with the next "Kingdom Hearts" sequel. Previously, "Final Fantasy XV" was confirmed to be released only for current-gen consoles.

Aside from supposed gameplay trailers and a number of alleged leaks, not much is known about "Kingdom Hearts 3." However, speculations continue to float online about the upcoming game. Rumor has it that Square Enix may decide to include some new characters in the installment, expanding the content via add-ons. This seems plausible, given that partner Disney already has a number of new franchises, including those of Marvel and "Star Wars."

Meanwhile, rumors also say that "Kingdom Hearts 3" may be released in 2017 at the earliest, given that Square Enix is currently focusing on "Final Fantasy XV," for release on Sept. 30.
