'Kingdom Hearts 3' characters: Darth Vader, Iron Man and Elsa to join Sora?

The news about the imminence of "Kingdom Hearts 3" is always something to hold onto. But in the midst of the hope, the mystery surrounding the upcoming roster of characters to put in an appearance in the much-anticipated title is yet to be defaced, and rumor mills are at top gear to hit the bull's eye.

Up to now, there still exists that glimpse of hope that the Marvel Universe, the Star Wars cosmos and even the arctic land of Elsa will ram into Sora's realm. The chitchat about the big assembly of the well-loved characters from these worlds is still too great to take in but the possibility is not discounted. According to Quik Docs, Game Director Tai Yasue may have made a subtle confirmation about the inclusion of a strong and exciting line-up featuring Iron Man, Darth Vader and Elsa. The site said that Yasue is yet to make announcements but he indicated that they made efforts in having the characters invade the title by obtaining consent from the franchise owner, Disney.

While that can translate to a "maybe" for now, gamers can already bet on seeing Goofy and Donald Duck search for guardian of lights and bring back the "Key to Return Hearts" with game protagonist Sora while King Mickey and Riku travel far and wide for Keyblade wielders.

The new title will pick up from where its predecessor, the 2012 title "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance," left off. As Tetsuya Nomura already promised, "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be nothing but taxing and with Master Xenohart as Sora's main unrelenting adversary, nothing will be easy.

With the guarantee of arduous battles and potent foes coming Sora's way, the presence of characters from entirely different worlds slowly become more of a need than a perk. Whether or not Nomura manages to squeeze those big names in the title, "Kingdom Hearts 3" is already a jewel in its own right.

Word on the street is that the upcoming game is coming in December next year. That means there's still a year of waiting to bear. But that can either be prolonged or cut short when Square Enix decides to tip out some niceties about "Kingdom Hearts 3."
