Christian singer Kelly Rowland, who was part of the popular group Destiny's Child, is grateful that she has found great friends in the music industry. Rowland thanked God for providing her with a strong support system, which enabled her to overcome the pain of losing her mother over two years ago.

"I can call Michelle [Williams] for prayer. I call Bey [Beyonce Knowles] for motherly advice," Rowland told HuffPost Live. "I call Solange [Knowles] for school advice, like all of my friends who are mothers. It's just really a blessing."

Even "American Idol" alum and fellow Christian singer Jennifer Hudson is someone that Rowland can rely on. "It's so awesome to have women in the industry, who are so beautiful, so hard working and secure and lovely women who want to be there to support you," she said. "So I'm just so grateful to God I have that circle of women around me."

Aside from her friends, Rowland is also blessed to have a loving and supportive husband in Tim Weatherspoon. She said her husband helped her deal with the loss of her mother.

"It's definitely been a challenge. My husband says, 'You know babe, you should think about it as a new normal,'" Rowland told the host of "The Meredith Vieira Show" during a recent airing.

But she said her son Titan Jewell Weatherspoon was the one who actually healed her grief since she sees so much of her mother in him. "I'm so blessed to have my son," she gushed. "I don't think I've had the time to really really grieve but I feel her presence often."

"God gave me an angel, he took one of my angels away but he still has her covering and hovering over us and I'm so blessed for that," she said.
