Canadian pop star Justin Bieber knows that he would be nothing without God. Even though people cannot stop raving about his talent and success, Bieber would rather people shift their focus on to God instead.

The Christian singer shared a photo of himself standing on stage while he is on his "Purpose" tour on his Instagram account (@justinbieber).

"I am so lucky to share these moments with you," he captions it. "I am so glad God is able to move even when people are blind to it.. I am the one on that stage but I am nothing without a light shining through. I'm such an average, ordinary person that doesn't deserve the praise. I believe it belongs to my God! Thank you God for showing up when we need you the most!"

Bieber knows that artist worship is a real issue, and he is constantly reminding his fans that they should worship God and not him.

"I would really suggest to people, 'Don't put your faith in me'. Because I'm gonna disappoint you every time," he told The Mirror. "Yeah. It's scary. But I want them to know that I'm not going to be able to solve their problems. I'm not that higher power. I'll never be. I'm not perfect. I've made so many mistakes."

Bieber added that humans are never meant to be worshipped, and it can get dangerous when people start giving reverence to fellow humans because "it does nothing but give you pride."

The "Love Yourself" hitmaker further clarified that it's okay for fans to enjoy his music and feel passionate about it. However, he guaranteed that things will go awry once fans start putting their trust in him.

"It's a finicky thing when you start putting your trust in me. And I've seen certain people just break down..." he trailed off.
