When pop superstar Justin Bieber committed to turn over a new leaf, he meant it. And now, after rediscovering his faith the young artist is using his celebrity to influence others to do the same.

In an Instagram post, Bieber highlighted the Bible passage "Psalm 46:10, which reads: "Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

In his caption, he reminded his followers that they are loved by God and that they are always guided by Him.

"Remember there's a God that loves you and is for you. Be still in his presence. He will give you true rest," he said.

The artist, who recently found new footing in the music industry with the release of his Purpose album, admitted in an earlier interview with Complex that his relationship with Jesus was not always a priority in his life, so much so that he saw going to church as uncool.

"Christians leave such a bad taste in people's mouths. I was like, 'I'm not gonna go to church.' I had these church friends and I was like, 'You guys are cool, I like you guys, but I'm not going to church,'" he said.

However, since returning to Christ, Bieber said that he was inspired, especially in the aspects of living his life like Jesus.

Bieber has even used his Purpose tour as a platform to showcase his faith, working with Christian designer Jerry Lorenzo, founder of the Fear of God clothing line.  He recently sported one of Lorenzo's designs denouncing Satan.

He has also urged his fans to read the Christian devotional "Jesus Calling," which has so far sold more than 15 million copies worldwide.
