Joyce Meyer says that people don't need to feel bad when God is changing them

Joyce Meyer says that God's transformation in people's lives is actually an enjoyable experience.

When God is working His miracles on people, sinners often feel guilty and ashamed, but popular Christian author and speaker Joyce Meyer said that people don't need to feel bad about their past, but instead rejoice on the change God is working on them.

"When we get to know God - really know Him - it fills us with hope and confidence because we realise He's greater than any situation we will ever encounter. Understanding God's character and incredible love for us allows us to relax and trust Him in every area of our lives," she wrote in her website.

Meyer said that it actually feels very encouraging that people don't have to go through the change themselves, since God is handling the situation. But when people brush off God and try to take control of the situation, it only leads to frustration and struggle.

She added that once the Holy Spirit brings conviction in different areas of people's lives, the more people are made aware of the changes that need to be done. "When this happens, the Lord doesn't want us to feel guilty and condemned. He simply wants us to have the attitude that says, 'God, I know that You're right and I'm wrong, and I want to change in this area. I trust You to help me change,'" said Meyer.

She said that the whole process of change can actually be an enjoyable experience. All people have to remember is that they are not perfect and God is guiding them all throughout the transformation.

At the same time, people need to constantly read His word and talk to God in prayer. The more people do that, the more God transforms them from the inside and out.

"Our part is to cooperate with God and do the things He puts in our hearts to do," she said.
