Singer Jordin Sparks, who shot to fame after winning the sixth season of "American Idol," is the kind of girl who loves and cherishes her Bible.

On her Instagram account (@jordinsparks), the "No Air" songstress even shared a photo of her Bible, which is heavily highlighted, underlined, and filled with little hearts. She gushed that there's "so much wisdom" in God's Word, and she urged her followers to read it.

Sparks thanks her parents and grandparents for inculcating in her a deep love for the Bible. "I remember seeing my parents & grandparents' Bibles marked up like this when I was younger," she wrote. "I've only had this Bible for a little less than a year & I look at the pages of mine now & I understand. These are so much more than words."

The Christian singer said she experiences something new every time she reads the Bible, adding that she is constantly amazed by the things she learns from it.

"It's amazingly overwhelming and I cannot fully explain it. Everyone takes their own unique journey. It's filled with experiences that are joyous, difficult, easy and painful. But somewhere along the line, after many experiences, they finally 'wake up,'" she said.

Sparks loves the expression that says, "When a man's Bible is falling apart, the man isn't." This only means that the Bible's wisdom has found its way into the heart of the reader, she said.

The singer said she has already woken up to the truth of God's Word. "I'm awake Lord. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Be encouraged today. Grab that Bible off the table & dive in! Please share!
