When Jeremy Lin landed in Los Angeles last year, it was obvious that most people were hoping to see Linsanity rise once more. Sadly that never happened.

Aside from injuries, Lin simply found it difficult to adapt to the system of head coach Byron Scott, not to mention drawing criticism from resident star Kobe Bryant. And as the Lakers drew near the close of the season, Lin's career was seemingly headed into limbo once more and there were no clues on where he would end up.

With the days counting down to NBA Free Agency, the story was different. With most teams strapped for cash, Lin was suddenly a hot prospect.

Multiple teams showed interest in the Asian-American and now Lin has plenty of suitors. In the end he chose to join Charlotte Hornets, a team who has already informed Lin of what they expect from the former Harvard University graduate.

"One, Jeremy has the ability to make the 3, but two, he is a playmaker and has the ability to create offense for himself and his teammates," head coach Steve Clifford told the Associated Press.

When he was informed of his role, Lin pretty much liked it. He believes that he has landed on the team that he believes he would be "fit."

Lin will be joining a team that has all bases practically covered. They have a solid big man in Al Jefferson and an offensive-minded guard in Kemba Walker. Aside from the two, the Hornets also have Nicolas Batum (who takes the place of an ineffective Lance Stephenson), Jeremy Lamb, and Spencer Hawes.

Even though the lineup is nothing if compared to the NBA Eastern Conference powerhouses such as the Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks, the Hornets can certainly take a good shot at the NBA playoffs for starters.
