Jeremy Lin news: No Linsanity yet - LA Lakers star frustrated with diminished role

Linsanity is nowhere to be found or heard over in Los Angeles and from the looks of it, Jeremy Lin may never be able to do that at all.

Lin voiced out his frustrations after being kept in the freezer in the Los Angeles Lakers loss to the San Antonio Spurs, pondering perhaps on his future with a team that he had hoped would revive his rocky career.

Lin has been the center of attention as of late, especially when you talk about how he and Kobe Bryant have gotten along. It is apparent that the two have not played beautiful music together, a sign that obviously points to the fact that Lin could be leaving behind the gold and purple uniform anytime.

And being benched against the Spurs is a clear indication.

"I'm human. I got emotions," Lin said before the Lakers lost the Houston Rockets 99-87 on Sunday at Staples Center. "I show up and do my best to play and work hard. But it definitely hurts. It's discouraging sometimes and disappointing. All of those emotions, of course. I don't think anybody would feel great after a DNP, no matter who you are" Lin said in an interview with the Los Angeles Daily News.

While Lin and Scott did have a talk about the change in his role, it is apparent that Lin may not be necessarily in the future plans of the Lakers. With or without Kobe.

That is of course unless Scott has a change of heart or is replaced at the helm.

But according to the former Laker guard-turned-coach, he will use the players depending on the game flow.

"I watch and see how the game is going," Scott said. "I have a good idea of what I'm going to do. But I let the game dictate that."

With Lin expected to be a free agent by the end of the season, it seems that Linsanity will have to wait a little bit longer to explode once more. That is unless Lin is traded to a team before the trade deadline or the Lakers' season ends.
