Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner split in June after 10 years together, but as the holiday season draws near, reports claim that the ex-couple is planning to spend the upcoming holidays together with their children.

According to a source from E! Online, the couple's children Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel will be spending time with the couple as one unit.

"They are a unit," said the source. "They are all about the kids and making sure they are okay. They are committed to parenting together."

The insider revealed that neither Garner nor Affleck wanted to split up and do separate things when the holidays were clearly about spending time with family and loved ones. Both actors are said to feel that though they are not a couple anymore, being a family is still the most important thing for them.

The two have not filed for divorce yet because according to Gossip Cop, they are still working privately with a mediator to negotiate settlement terms. They are expected to share custody of their children.

Meanwhile, E! reports that the actors are continuously putting their personal differences aside in order to remain amicable and spend time together with their children. On Saturday, Nov. 14, they were seen taking their three children to a bake shop in Los Angeles to decorate cakes together.

Since their divorce, they have been photographed spending time together with their children as they ran errands and went to places such as Disneyland. The source said that Garner and Affleck are working hard to have a friendly relationship for the sake of their children and that they agree that the most important thing is to provide a loving home for them.
