The cast of "Jane the Virgin" seems to be having fun while filming the brand new episodes for season 3, based on the Instagram post of guest star Gloria Estefan.

The singer-actress shared several photos taken during the filming of the episode where she and her husband, Emilio Estefan, will guest star as themselves to help Rogelio dela Vega (Jaime Camil) adapt a telenovela that he plans to bring in the U.S. Some of them featured the women of the show, as well as episode director Eva Longoria.

Estefan told E! News that she was very glad to join one of her favorite shows on TV. According to the actress, working with the cast and Longoria feels like working with family.

"On the show Rogelio has always been saying that I'm one of his best friends," Estefan stated regarding her experience working with the actor who portrays the role of Jane's (Gina Rodriguez) father. "Funny, because Emilio and I consider Jaime one of our best friends too! FUN!"

Meanwhile, series creator Jennie Snyder Urman revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the premiere episode of "Jane the Virgin" season 3 will feature several flashbacks to showcase the start of Jane and Michael's (Brett Dier) relationship. "You're going to be learning a lot more history than you knew originally.... You'll figure out how the past impacts the present," Urman said.

The series creator also revealed that fans of the show will be introduced to someone from Jane's past, way before she started seeing Michael. But perhaps the most anticipated scene for the upcoming season will be the one where the heroine will finally lose "the virgin" in her name. But Urman did not reveal if Jane's first time will happen with her husband Michael or with the father of her baby, Rafael (Justin Baldoni).

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 is slated to premiere on The CW on Monday, Oct. 17.
