Jadon Lavik returns with Art and Soul

Three-time Dove nominated recording artist Jadon Lavik is back with his new album Art and Soul.

The album features Lavik writing and self-producing an exquisite symmetry of congregational worship tunes combined with intimate singer-songwriter life stories.

Art and Soul showcases Lavik’s trademark vocals and acoustic-driven style through an array of songs telling of the changes he’s been through in leaving the road, to leading worship at Pacific Coast Church in San Clemente, California, to new emotions dealing with fatherhood and family changes.

These tales are all played out in the context of his life as a husband, father and pastor who is living to worship a tangible Lord.

“I think the album title speaks well to where I find myself as an artist: balancing my music between the Christian music world and the Church. The truth is, I have a heart for both and recognize that I value and enjoy both,” says Jadon.

Previously nominated for three Dove awards, Lavik has toured with artists such as GMA’s 4-time winner for Female Vocalist of the Year Natalie Grant Grammy and Dove-award winner Rebecca St. James, top-selling band Barlow Girl, and the award-winning band Hawk Nelson.

Originally from Redmond, Washington, Lavik moved to southern California to play baseball at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California.

After graduation and learning to play guitar, he was invited to pursue music and ministry under Rick Muchow, Pastor of Worship at Saddleback Church. In 2004, he was signed to a contract with BEC Recordings. Lavik currently resides in San Clemente, California, where he disperses his time between touring, living at home with his wife and two children, and leading worship at his church.
