The latest rumor to hit the Marvel Cinematic Universe involves two of the most popular superheroes in their lineup: Iron Man and Captain America.

Chris Evans, who brought life to Steve Rogers/Captain America, spoke to Entertainment Weekly and said, "I'd be happy to be in an 'Iron Man' movie. We've been in so many movies together, the titles are almost, at this point, inconsequential. We all win!"

Seeing that both superheroes will be gracing the silver screen together in "Captain America: Civil War," it wouldn't be a bad idea to do it again in an "Iron Man" film. However, Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed if "Iron Man 4" is in the works.

Robert Downey Jr. sparked a rumor frenzy when he appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and hinted at the possibility of making a fourth "Iron Man" film. But later on, the actor reportedly shot down these reports when he appeared on "The Late Show with David Letterman."

But that has not stopped speculations from circulating regarding the possibility of "Iron Man 4." Even if Downey ultimately decides to pass on the opportunity of playing Tony Stark/Iron Man again after the "Avengers: Infinity War" movies, rumor has it that someone will be ready to take his place. That someone is said to be none other than Ty Simpkins, who played Stark's sidekick named Harley Keener in the third "Iron Man" film.

There is no shortage of fans who are hopeful to see Downey reprising his role for another solo film. And the same fans still hold on to the possibility of one, especially after a deleted scene from "Ant-Man" surfaced. The scene hinted at a fourth installment to the "Iron Man" franchise because of the appearance of a man with a tattoo resembling the logo of the 10 Rings group featured in the first "Iron Man" film. According to Movie Pilot, this could suggest the plot for "Iron Man 4."

It is no secret that Marvel likes to change it up and pair off superheroes to go on adventures together now that they've built up an entire universe to support it. So it will come as no surprise should the entertainment giant ultimately decide to push through with a fourth "Iron Man" film, with Captain America in tow.
