The iPhone has not necessarily churned the most impressive camera when you place it alongside other devices in the market. Apparently the company has yet to breach that technology to offer a high-end and reliable camera.

However, that time may have finally come and it could be included with next iPhone model.

With Apple reportedly hard at work on the next iPhone camera, there is growing speculation that it the iPhone 7 may likely come out with a dual-camera technology, something that has reportedly been in the works for the past three years.

Word comes from Xiaru Wen, the CEO of Altek Corp. The company is also behind the dual-camera systems used in HTC and Huawei handsets and the said technology could be finally used for iPhones though it may not be a unique one.

What it does is however place the usual handy digital cameras in a bind. With most phones these days armed with efficient phone cameras, there is a possibility that the advantages an actual compact camera carries could soon be present or overtaken by dual camera technology being used on phones.

The said dual-camera technology may do more than just offer improvement in sharpness or low-light environments, making phones sufficient as far as taking snap shots when the time calls for it.

Many had believed that Apple would be on the brink of stepping up the iPhone camera specs, especially when the company had acquired LinX Computational Imaging. But as it turned out, LinX was purchased to resolve some technical issues tied up with the development of the Apple was working on the past years.

Also, there were reportedly component issues that hindered Apple from implementing dual-camera technology but it looks like all that will be resolved soon if Largan Precision Co. Ltd. does indeed have the missing link to the Apple camera puzzle.

Chances are this could materialize by next year for perhaps an iPhone 7 as the anticipated launch of the iPhone 6S seems to be too close to call. The iPhone 6S is anticipated to launch this September.
