The iPhone 7 will reportedly be launched on Wednesday, Sept. 7 with tipster Evan Blass reporting that the flagship will be on sale by Friday, Sept. 16.

However, there's a new rumor going around that Apple will deal with supply shortage at launch. The report comes from Asia-based publication Nikkei, who claims that production problems

"If Apple sticks to its launch schedule from last year, there may not be enough supply at the beginning, as some suppliers are still trying to fix low yield rates of their components," the report claims.

This is second by Yuanta Investment Consulting analyst Jeff Pu seconds this, adding that there will be 10 million fewer iPhone 7 units up for manufacture compared to the iPhone 6s, whose launch experienced shortage.

In other related news, the iPhone 7 was recently spotted in an advertisement shot featuring Taiwanese pop star Jimmy Lin, who was sitting in a café as he uses the phone.

As per Gordon Kelly of Forbes, the device on the photo matches the iPhone 7 leaks from the past. Interestingly, it also shows the dual camera setup as hinted in previous reports, hinting that Apple is indeed making some big changes in the camera department.

"But what really gets my attention here is Lin's track record. While there's undoubtedly an element of self publicity to Lin's iPhone antics, the popstar has been doing this for four years now and has never had a miss," Kelly wrote.

Another reported big change coming to the iPhone 7 is the headphone jack, or rather the lack of it. The Cupertino-based tech giant is reportedly ditching the component altogether for a thinner build.

It will allegedly go completely wireless and make use of Bluetooth headphones more or will be leaning towards lightning ports more.

This started backlash from some fans but David Cornoy of CNET says that it could be one of the best upgrades the iPhone 7 will offer.
