As Apple entered the arena of large-screened handsets, speculations became rife about the giant tech firm working on a 4-inch device again, a size similar to that of the iPhone 5. According to Tech Times, Cowen & Company analyst Timothy Arcuri relayed the news to investors, suggesting that the device, which will be known as the iPhone 6s mini, will make a splash in 2015. Should this come to pass, people who have been complaining about how cumbersome the iPhone 6 is will be hushed and whine no more. 

However, Arcuri stated that the specifications of the alleged iPhone 6s mini will adapt the ones stuffed in the iPhone 5. Would-be buyers of the unsubstantiated handset will then get to enjoy curved screen edges, like the ones that come in the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Basically, it's an iPhone 5 made to look like the Apple flagship. Mac World broached about how bulky the iPhone 6 is for users, which necessitates the return of the regular sized phone. 

With the launch of the current models, the iPhone 5c might be phased out, thus leaving those who like their phones easily gripped and handled with nothing Apple-laden to rely on. This further necessitates the purported iPhone 6s mini. Arcuri, as IB Times cited, added that the "purpose-built low-cost components" that are bound to be integrated into it will make it more endearing to users. 

Apple Insider stated that Arcuri either nails it or misses it hugely. Previously, he correctly envisaged that features that made it to the iPhone 6; however, his prediction that the big smartphone would pack a powerful processor did not come to pass.

Nevertheless, another reason the Cupertino-based company just might release such device is the fact that Samsung has done it before and Apple does not want to lag behind its rival. The South-Korean tech firm released mini versions of its previous flagships and it seems that Apple has that on the cards, too.
