The ipad Air 3 has been awaited eagerly since a very long time, with its initial release expected around October 2015. However that never happened and now people are getting really ancious and worried. One moment there are rumours that claim the device is just around the corner and the other moment we have others telling us it has been cancelled. However, does  the device really deserve all the frenzy and paranoia?

The proposed iPad Air 3 does have some features that are worth dying for. It boasts of an incredible 3GB of RAM which makes a world of a difference to mobile experience and multi tasking. Not only does the device supposedly offer a 2K display that is 400 ppi and 9.7 inch, it also has an amazing 13 MP rear camera.

That being said, tech experts are also expecting some stylistic features and variety in hand set colour. It is hoped that a Rose Gold model is added to the gold, silver and grey models.

Meanwhile there are some rumours about the potential cancellation of the iPad Air 3. In fact, what really causes the whole hype and frenzy to be watered down is the eerie silence from Apple over cancellation rumours. This has been taken to suggest by many as a conformation of rather scary speculations that Apple is about to ditch the whole Air business. That would sadly include the tablets and notebooks from the series. However, none of the rumors have been substantiated with credible proof.

Many have dubbed the iPad Air 3 as infact an improvised version of iPad 7 with a host of fixes, tweaks and improvements. Well, the argument might have some weight since the two devices really do hold much in common. So, is Apple merely repackaging its older products in a new garb to sell to customers under a new name?

Despite all the negativity that some rumour mills have generated, many who have been earnestly wishing for the product to be released are citing Apple's well known strategy to surprise its audience as a reason for the uneasy silence. Well, perhaps it really is a clam before the storm and maybe the iPad Air 3 is Apple's next big surprise much like it did with iPad Pro.
