iOS 8 beta 6 not coming to developers

The latest iOS 8 beta 6 from Apple may no longer land in the hands of developers.

The tech giant announced last week that the newest beta version of iOS 8 was available only for carriers and Apple partners leaving out the developers. The sixth beta version of the iOS 8 is known to be the last beta version of the mobile software before the company releases the official iOS update to the public.

It seemed that Apple has no plans to deliver the beta 6 to developers. This is the first time that Apple has done this. The purpose of the iOS 8 beta 6 is to make a final run of tests to ensure that the official operating system will run smoothly. It is very rare that a seventh beta version is released unless Apple spots a bug that needs to be fixed before the Gold Master version is launched.

The beta versions of the new operating system allow developers to tweak their apps to ensure that their respective apps and games will work smoothly on the new iOS 8. The new beta version includes updates and fixes for the bugs found in the previous version.

On the other hand, the Gold Master version of the iOS 8 is set to make ripples in the market on Sept. 9. The upcoming iPhone 6 will be the first Apple device to pack and run the new iOS 8. The software will also be available for download on the said date.

Some of the software features included in the new iOS are updates to the photos, iMessage and the keyboard applications. The search function, Spotlight, and iCloud will also be improved. iOS 8 will also pack the much awaited iHealth application that has functions to manage the health information and activities of the user such as heart monitoring, BMI measuring and medication tracking.
