"Incredibles Part 2" is confirmed to come and is set to premiere in cinemas on June 21, 2019. Plot rumours claim that the movie will feature a six-year time jump and a powerful Jack-Jack.

In an interview with Collider early this year, Brad Bird said that right after "Tomorrowland" premieres, he will have all his focus set on a second part to the superhero family film "Incredibles." As "Tomorrowland" came out on theaters last May, "Incredibles" fans will be happy to know that Bird has kept his promise, and went straight into working on "Incredibles Part 2."

According to The Bit Bag, the plot of the upcoming sequel is said to be about 75 percent done. It is believed that the movie will feature a six-year time jump, although it will have been 15 years since the last "Incredibles" movie.

With that six year period in between films, there is reason to believe that "Incredibles" fans will be seeing a seven to eight-year-old Jack-Jack with a full set of mastered powers. The first movie ended with Syndrome, the villain of the film, suffering at the hands of a powerful super toddler, Jack-Jack who showed various superhuman abilities such as manipulating fire, shapeshifting and super strength.

"Incredibles" follows the adventures of a family of superheroes, the Parrs, and the enemies they make because of their abilities and fame.

The first film was shown in 2004, and became a huge success. Box Office Mojo records overall gross sales to be more than $631 million worldwide, with 41 percent being gross domestic earnings ($261 million). Rotten Tomatoes gives "Incredibles" (2004) a score of 97 percent, making it one of the highest rating animated films in the website.

"Incredibles Part 2" will still be distributed by Buena Vista Pictures and Bird will be taking on the reigns as director for the animated action comedy film.
