Chinese multinational telecommunications company Huawei Technologies has issued invitations to the launching of its new Huawei Honor 7 smartphone which, according to GSM Arena, will take place on July 7. The device was first launched in Beijing last June 30.

The company also released a new video in China last month that provides a glimpse of the new all-metal Android phone.

The Honor 7 sports a 5.2 inch IPS LCD display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It has a whopping 20 mega pixel camera on the back with dual-LED flash and phase detection autofocus features.

On the front, it has an 8 mega pixel camera for sharper selfies. On top of these, the cameras come with HDR, panorama, touch focus and face detection capabilities

Under the hood, the new handset packs the company's own HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor, along with either a 16 GB or 64 GB internal memory storage and 3 GB RAM. The internal memory space can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.

The Honor 7 is powered by a large non-removable 3100 mAh battery and runs on the new Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. The phone will be available in black, white and gold colors, according to GSM Arena.

The handset also has an impressive rear fingerprint scanner that can be used for locking and unlocking the phone, among other functions.

Ecumenical News reports that the Honor 7 will be available in three different models. The first model packs 16 GB internal memory and costs US$320 while the second one supports dual-SIM LTE and costs about US$355. The third costs US$400 and comes with a large 64 GB internal memory.

Vine Report reports that the Chinese telecom giant is expecting the new Honor 7 to increase its sales this year by twofold. As of this time, it's unclear if the new Honor 7 will be availabe in other markets besides China.

During the recent event, Huawei also unveiled two new devices: the Honor Band Zero and the Honor Whistle headset.
