How we can experience healing from rejection through God's Father heart

The pain of rejection is not something that we would ever want to wish upon ourselves but it is a reality that we all face. Everyone has felt rejected, but God assures us of this: that because Jesus has taken our sins and set us free from them, we will never be rejected by our Lord.

No matter what point of life you are in, it is never easy to receive rejection. Sadly, rejection is everywhere and it's likely that you have been rejected multiple times. People have been rejected by family members, a job provider, social circles and even churches. This world is full of rejection and people are crying out for acceptance.

But no matter how many times you have been rejected by others, God calls you to Him so that in His love you may be received and affirmed. 1 Peter 2:4 says, "As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious."

God promises over and over in scripture that in Him we are accepted and affirmed. All we have to do is receive that affirmation and not reject the love that He so lavishly showers upon us.

We can be rejected by the world for many reasons. Some may be rejected because they fail to meet certain standards, because they are deemed to be a mistake or because they are different. But whatever the case, God takes you in if you approach Him.

God does not think you are mistake and even assures you that you are created for a purpose. We can declared just as the psalmist declared in Psalm 139:13-14, "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well."

If you feel rejected today, know that the Father can and will receive you anytime you approach Him. Though you were once far away from Him because of your sin, but now because of what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross - bearing our sin and shame so that we would now be worthy of entering God's presence - God looks at us and receives us as His.

Galatians 4:6-7 tells us, "And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, 'Abba! Father!' So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God."

Through Jesus, we are now accepted into God's kingdom and God's family, not as slaves or aliens, but as children and as citizens now accepted and affirmed in Christ.
