"Growing Pains" star Kirk Cameron is planning to spark a revival in America this October with a live event that will promote Christian values and faith in God.

The event called "Revive Us" will share messages from former Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson, pastors Francis Chan and Dr. James MacDonald, as well as bestselling authors Eric Metaxas and Jennifer Rothschild. There will even be musical performances by Vertical Church Band and the duo Abby Ward and Isabella Cameron, reported Charisma News.

"As I travel to churches across America, I meet thousands who tell me they feel discouraged, concerned and afraid for their children's future and the future of America," says Cameron. "I want people to come to this event so I can help them return home awakened, empowered and engaged to make a difference in the real world."

"Together, we'll discover the one and only strategy that has succeeded in every generation, on every continent, and never failed to restore a nation, morally, spiritually and economically," he says.

That live event will take place on Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. ET, while the encore showing will be on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. in over 700 movie threatres in America.

Earlier, Cameron acknowledged that America is in such a downward moral slope. As dismal as things might seem, he expressed optimism that things can still change for the better if Christians take action.

"People think we are in the last days of America," Cameron told Cj Online. "Is it too late? No, it's not too late. It's not impossible to turn it around, but there's no time to wait any longer. We are nearing the point of no return, but we're not there yet. But we must lean in, double down and engage [as soon as possible] because we've been coasting for too long."
