NYC megachurch pastor Carl Lentz officiated the wedding of NBA player Landry Fields over the weekend.
Fields, who plays for the Toronto Raptors, married swimsuit model Elaine Alden on July 12 in New York. Reportedly, the ceremony took place at St. Patrick's Cathedral.
The couple became engaged in February 2013, after revealing that Alden was pregnant with their first child. She gave birth to a son, Jackson James Fields, in August 2013.
Upon announcing the engagement, Fields thanked the Lord for sending Alden to him.
"Couldn't be happier!! Marrying the woman of my dreams!! God is SO good!" he wrote on Twitter.
Alden shared an excited tweet on the day of the wedding.
"This is the day The Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!" she wrote. "We gettin' [sic] MARRIED!!!!"
Many Instagram photos were shared of the bridal party and ceremony, including a picture of their first kiss as husband and wife. Fields captioned the photo: "Trophy of God's GRACE @elainealden."
Fields grew up in California and moved to New York in 2010 when he was drafted by the New York Knicks. He began attending Hillsong Church, and still considers the congregation his church home.
Pastor Lentz shared a photo of himself and his wife, Laura, along with the newlyweds.
"WHAT A DAY!!" he captioned the picture. "It's a special thing to be a part of a couples wedding and marriage.. Congrats to faithful @hillsongnyc family @landry2fields @elainealden... love you both!"
