Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) will be approached by the very last person he expects to ask for his help in the upcoming episode of NBC's psychological thriller-horror series.

In "...And the Beast from the Sea," Cartermatt reports that Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas) will offer the forensic psychiatrist a chance to redeem himself to her and to Will (Hugh Dancy) by helping them find a lead to the serial killer Francis Dolarhyde (Richard Armitage). If viewers will remember, she is the one who cautioned the criminal profiler about being in contact again with Lecter, reminding Will of their last encounter which ended badly.

The FBI is still having difficulty predicting "The Great Red Dragon's" next move and Alana thinks Lecter is the key to their problem. Although certain that Dolarhyde will kill again with the approaching full moon, Will and Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) have no solid lead to pinpoint which family is next on the murderer's list.

Meanwhile, Dolarhyde is struggling with the "one good thing" remaining in his life. His blind co-worker Reba McClane (Rutina Wesley) helps keep his "becoming" at bay, and even though he does not like it, he cannot help but feel drawn to her. Will his feelings for Reba be enough to keep him from completely tipping over the dark side?

Last episode, Will was pushed into seeing Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson), the only one who could understand his deep connection with Lecter. Aside from him, Bedelia was the only other person who has established a close relationship with the psychiatrist. Viewers also caught a glimpse of Neil Frank (Zachary Quinto), whom Bedelia allegedly killed in self-defense.

Zap2it reports that Neil was the "one key reason" the woman was so tied to Lecter. Bedelia told Jack back in season 2 that Lecter put her under a spell to kill Neil. But in the episode 10, it appeared that she murdered Lecter's former patient of her own free will. In their conversation, she told Will that "a high level of empathy" was required to do "extreme acts of cruelty."

"The next time you have an instinct to help someone, you might consider crushing them instead. It might save you a great deal of trouble," she said.

Is this a premonition of what will become of Will with his continued association with Lecter? Find out on the next episode of "Hannibal," which airs Thursday at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
