Grand Theft Auto VRockstar

According to both Gamespot and GamesRadar, the BBC has cast actors Daniel Radcliffe and Bill Paxton in the upcoming ninety-minute factual drama about GTA-creator and Rockstar co-founder Sam Houser and the battle with anti-video game lawyer Jack Thompson. According to Gamespot the film is already in development.

The reports state that Daniel Radcliffe, famous for his portrayal of "Harry Potter" in all eight films, will be portraying Sam Houser while the role of Jack Thompson will be played by Bill Paxton, who is known for his roles in "Aliens," "Edge of Tomorrow," and "Titanic."

Jack Thompson was a Florida lawyer who was recently disbarred from practicing his profession due to misconduct and inflammatory actions. He was most famous for attacking many video games and video game companies during the 1990s and early 2000s, often citing them as the main cause for crimes and teenage misbehavior.

One of the most cases Jack Thompson led was in 2008 after three police officers in Alabama were killed by a man who professed he played "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City." Thompson tried to blame Take-Two Interactive responsible but the case led to nowhere and Thompson's license to practice law in the state was revoked.

Thompson's attacks against the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise would span from 2003 to 2013. Most recently the former lawyer attempted to spread hate-messages against "Grand Theft Auto V." Gamezone attempted to bring Jack Thompson in debate the issue of video games causing real-life crimes but Thompson refused, stating "gamers are too brain-impaired" to understand.

The official synopsis for "Game Changer" states that the film "tells the story of an extraordinary chapter in the history of this iconic game ("Grand Theft Auto"), and reveals the major impact it has had on our cultural landscape."

"Game Changer" has no official release date at the time of writing but it is scheduled to air on BBC Two.
