There has been little information about the long-overdue "GTA 5 Online Heist" Patch 1.17 update. It has been reported, however, that the highly-anticipated Heist DLC was intentionally delayed by Rockstar Games, thereby further encouraging fans to spark up speculations about the upcoming 1.17 update.

Various YouTube operators have expressed their sentiments in waiting for the latest update in GTA Online. YouTuber DomisLive, also known as Dom, has been sharing his "wishes" for the new 1.17 update, which include Heist DLC features such as the Ski Mask, Chainsaw and Police Uniforms, among others.

Other gamers have also posted their own requests for the new update, such as the increased ability of armored trucks and SWAT team members. It was also suggested that players can take on the roles of a cop or a SWAT team member while carrying out a Heist mission. Moreover, Crew vs. Crew Heist missions and the existence of human players are expected to increase gamers' anticipation to play the game and further expand the fanbase.

Another huge request for the upcoming GTA 5 Online Heist Patch 1.17 is the ability to get revamped as police officers, complete with customized suits, ties, Ski Masks, gloves and even tattoos and new hairstyles.

Gamers have also been found to be requesting for a wider range of weapons, including the Thermite Bomb, new MG gun, and Close Quarter Combat (CQC) weapons such as the Flame Thrower and Chainsaw.

Additionally, fans have been wishing for car modifications, such as bulletproof armor and window glass for the vehicles, especially during fatal cop chases associated with bank robberies and Heist missions.

Finally, an increased duration for Heist missions remains as a longtime request of GTA 5 fans, along with bonus optimal missions as they have been losing interest in the typical 10-minute session.

In another video posted by iCrazyTeddy, a YouTube operator, Heist should not be expected to be released in the coming months.  He claimed that "a lot of fans" are frustrated that there have been no comments or responses from Rockstar with regards to the Heists DLC and other updates that had already been promised.

"But Heists are still not here," the YouTuber stated, mentioning that hackers have been going over the source code and found that it is being generated. "The recent ones really haven't been up to scratch."

Consequently, due to the delayed 1.17 update, there have been speculations that the GTA Online is "dying," despite its versions being expected for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC within the coming months.
