Google Nexus 8 release date may come really soon as new Nexus 7 deals were spotted.

Google's 7-inch tablet was released last year and may finally get a successor as the price of the tablet received discounts.

In eBay, there are different offerings of the Nexus 7 2013 selling the device in a very low price. eBay seller anytops offers the 32GB Nexus 7 for $199.85. Meanwhile, seller thackrlt peddles the same tablet with the same internal storage for $152.51. Both sellers have high positive feedback from other eBay users. This is more than $100 discount from the tablet's original price of $299.

The units being sold were refurbished units. Refurbished units were once defective units taken back to the manufacturer and the battery and back panel were both replaced. Thus, these units are as good as brand new.

This is not the first time that the tablet received discounts. The search engine giant is throwing in a three-month free subscription to Google Play Music All Access when you purchase the 16GB Nexus 7 through the Play Store.

Google's All Access is similar to Apple's iTunes that is a premium music streaming subscription and gives users access to thousands of online songs. The tablet is still available through the Google Play Store for $299 and the promo runs until September 30.

Meanwhile, Google Nexus 8 is rumored to pack an 8.9-inch screen with 2048 x 1440 pixel resolution and 221dpi, NVIDIA's Tegra K1 processor, and 2GB RAM.

It is still unconfirmed which third party manufacturer will lend Google a hand in making the Nexus 8 tablet. However, reports are pointing to HTC to take the helm in building the new Google's tablet as HTC Volantis has been making the rounds for quite some time.

The tablet is speculated to cost $399 for the 16GB version, $499 for the 32GB version, while the LTE version will have a price tag of $600.

Google Nexus 8 release date will most likely happen in the fourth quarter after the tablet was not showcased at the company's I/O Developers' Conference last month.
