Nexus fans are highly anticipating two new phones coming from HTC, the Sailfish and Marlin. Incidentally, the specs of these top secret phones were leaked online, giving the community a glimpse of what to expect. According to the leak, the upcoming phones will be carrying a quad-core Qualcomm processor, 4GB of RAM and the upcoming Android Nougat mobile operating system.

Android Police reported that the upcoming Google Nexus phones will be built by HTC alone. Last year LG created the Nexus 5X, while Huawei manufactured the Nexus 6P.

It is also still unclear if the processor will be a revised Snapdragon 820 or the rumored Snapdragon 821 or 823, but the leaked information states that both phones will arrive with 3,450 mAh batteries and 32GB and 128GB internal storage variants. The search engine giant has reportedly skipped a 64GB variant this time.

Additionally, it is also speculated to have a 1 MP main camera, an 8MP front-facing one and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It might also contain a USB-C port, bottom-firing speakers and Bluetooth 4.2

Both phones will also contain an AMOLED display screen. The Merlin is rumored to have a 5.5-inch QHD resolution, while the Sailfish will arrive with a 5-inch screen with a 1080p resolution.

A headphone jack was mentioned to come along the Sailfish, but no such information is available for the Marlin model, BGR stated.

Moreover, technology experts are also saying that Google has taken note of how other phone manufacturers are releasing their products, namely their one phone, two sizes approach. Apple's iPhones and Sony's Z and Z Compact are the companies using this strategy.

Fans are also speculating that a launch for the two products may happen around the month of August, with a release date of September, similar to last year's models.

No information is available regarding the prices but more cool information is expected to arrive soon.
