Country star Garth Brooks interrupted his concert in Minneapolis this weekend to serenade one very special fan.

A cancer survivor was in the audience, and when Brooks noticed her triumphant sign, he made the fan's day.

Teresa Shaw travelled from Iowa to attend the concert, and brought a sign that read: "Chemo This Morning. Garth Tonight. Enjoying The Dance."

An usher at the Target Center spotted Shaw, and brought her to a seat closer to the stage. Brooks, who was performing his signature song, "The Dance," spotted Shaw, and decided to sing directly to her.

"You have all my strength," he told the fan, holding her sign for the audience to see. "You have everybody's strength in here, and you go kick cancer's ass!"

Brooks – whose mother and sister died from cancer – also gave Shaw his guitar, and a kiss on the forehead.

The touching moment was captured on video, and has received nearly 800,000 views.

The singer also drew tears on "Good Morning America" last week.

Brooks debuted his single "Mom" from his upcoming album, and the touching lyrics are a conversation between an unborn child and God.

"A little baby told God, 'Hey I'm kinda scared, don't really know if I wanna go down there/Because from here it looks like a little blue ball/But that's a great big place and I'm so small,'" Brooks sang.

"'Why can't I just stay here with you? Did I make you mad? Don't you want me, too?' And God said, 'Oh child, of course I do/But there's somebody special that's waiting for you.'"

Fans of Brooks can look forward to seeing him on tour with his wife, Trisha Yearwood, through 2015. The couple will spend this week in Minneapolis before travelling to Greensboro, NC, St. Louis, Little Rock, and Tulsa. More dates are expected to be announced on Brooks' website.
