All signs point to Jon Snow coming back to life come "Game of Thrones" season 6 but now, the question that fans ask is how the cult-favorite character rises from the dead. The answer, it appears, has to do with Melisandre.

According to Watchers on the Wall, Carice van Houten had scenes filmed for the new season behind closed doors. While this seems to be HBO's attempt to keep details from leaking, the very secrecy that surrounds Melisandre's scenes provides the clue.

Even before Jon Snow was confirmed to be returning in "Game of Thrones" season 6, there was a speculation (it was the most popular one, actually) that the red priestess will be responsible for the resurrection of the most beloved bastard in Westeros.

During the ultra-secret scenes, Watchers on the Wall reports that the ball on the stick prop that becomes Jon Snow's CGI direwolf Ghost after some editing magic was spotted as well. All these, the aforesaid site claims, point to fans having to thank Melisandre for Jon Snow's glorious return.

However, fans know very well that resurrections bring no more than the physical being of a person. Somewhere in the process of rebirth, some of the memories fade and the one that returns from the grave isn't the same person he or she once was. It is being said that Jon Snow will not be spared of that fate and an unrecognizable Jon Snow may be gracing "Game of Thrones" season 6.

Interestingly, there is a theory that when Jon Snow was being stabbed to death, he transferred his soul to Ghost, with the name as his last word before he died. This would explain while the direwolf was on the scene when Melisandre did the restoration.

Whichever way things will unfold, the good thing about it all is that "Game of Thrones" season 6 will not at all be Jon Snow-less when it premieres in April.
