Kristen Bell has provided an update on the development on "Frozen 2." According to the star, who voices Princess Anna, the script is still being polished.

Speaking to Collider, the "Bad Moms" star revealed that they have not started recording yet. Early this year, she stated that they were about to.

"I thought we were about to start recording, but I was mistaken. So, we haven't begun yet," Bell said. The actress also mentioned that the writers are still polishing the script as of the moment.

While there seems to be a long wait ahead of fans for "Frozen 2," they can get their "Frozen" fix in an upcoming Olaf Christmas special, which will be aired on ABC. Bell said there will be new music to be featured there.

In an interview with, Bell said that the writers are taking their sweet time in putting together the script for the sequel, which something she deemed as an assurance for quality.

"They are not rushing the script. They have the luxury to not rush because everyone is going to be excited whether it comes out tomorrow or in five years," the actress told IGN.

"They're making it as perfect as they need it to be and we're on call to start recording whenever," she won't on to say. That being said, it will take a while before the animated film arrives.

As for the plot, Idina Menzel, who is the voice behind Queen Elsa, gave her nod for a storyline for the character wherein she finds romance with another woman.

"I can't promise anybody that that's what's gonna happen... But deep down am I really happy that it's causing people to talk about it and have these kinds of conversations? Yeah, I am," Menzel told Pride Source.

She also says that she was a bit shocked about the prospect since it is Disney handling "Frozen 2." Either way, she promised that she will be excited should the writers go that route for her character.
