"Final Fantasy VII Remake" has been confirmed to arrive in multiple parts. It is also possible to be released after March 2017, but the whole enchilada of characters may not be able to make it and only those who are famous enough will.

Developer Square Enix has decided to bring back "Final Fantasy VII," where players will be playing again as the mercenary Cloud Strife. Together with his brothers from AVALANCHE, he will battle it out against the evil Shinara megacorporation. It is rumored that the gameplay will be a combination of real-time action, joined by strategic elements. However, game producer Yoshinori Kitase confirmed earlier that not all of the original characters will be brought back from the original game. Although nothing is concrete regarding who will be carried over, he said that only the famous ones will be seen again, Movie News Guide reported.

"Final Fantasy" fans can also expect that there will be great improvements that will happen to the game. Since the game was released almost 20 years ago, graphics will definitely improve. Game styles and battle systems will also be changed. Players can expect a parallel gameplay with "Kingdom Hearts" or "Devil May Cry."

Kitase also mentioned during an interview with Game Informer a few months back that even if the upcoming game is a remake, it does not mean that players will be doing the same things as in the original. Fans can expect that there will be surprises.

"Definitely. We have archived versions of our games, and a lot of times, people buy them and it starts off with nostalgia – but after that, you're essentially following the story you already know. That experience starts to diminish as you proceed through the game and the interest level starts to decline. If it's just nostalgia, it's just a matter of following the story, and there wouldn't be any surprises. So, in that sense, we want to balance out the areas we would like change versus the areas we don't in order to have that nostalgia, but also the surprises," Kitase said during the interview.

For the meantime, the company and the team behind the game have been very secretive. Even the number of episodes is unknown, as well as its release date. However, fans are expecting to start the adventure by next year's spring or summer.
