Marlon Wayans, famous for his work in spoof films such as the first two "Scary Movie" films and "A Haunted House," is working on a new film spoofing "Fifty Shades of Grey." The new film is titled "Fifty Shades of Black" and will make fun of the sex and BDSM themes made popular by the original film. 

"Sex and comedy go hand-in-hand and I'm looking forward to having fun with this project," Wayans told The Hollywood Reporter. "It's amazing when a film of this calibre comes along, begging to be made fun of. I'm really happy to be doing what I love with people I love to do it with. That double entendre was intentional."

Wayans then followed the announcement with a first sneak peek photo via Instagram.

According to the report, Wayans' spoof film is scheduled for release in 2016, a year following the screening of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Conversely, a report from Screen Crush hints that the film may be released in March 2017, a month after the sequel to "Fifty Shades of Grey" hits theaters nationwide. 

He will be collaborating with writer-producer Rick Alvarez, who has been working with Wayans since 2001's "Scary Movie 2." Michael Tiddes, who helmed the "A Haunted House" films, is attached to direct the spoof project. It is expected that other familiar faces from past cast and crew will be returning as well. 

Spoof films haven't made much of an impact in recent years, as Cinema Blend points out. "Epic Movie," "Meet the Spartans" and "A Haunted House 2" all failed at the box office, which makes Wayans' decision to revisit this type of film quite disconcerting for his fans. "Scary Movie 5" notably earned just a third of what the previous entry made. 

Still, Wayans has proven that he is a good actor with his performance in Aranofsky's "Requiem for a Dream."
