Actor Vin Diesel's latest Instagram post revealed more details about the eighth installment in the "Fast & Furious" franchise. In the post, he showed the new bloody logo for "Fast & Furious 8" as well as the film's expected release date in what seems to be the unofficial poster of the upcoming film. Last month, the lead actor of the multi-million dollar movie franchise revealed that the next film will be launched on April 14, 2017.

Diesel's post is also a sneak peek at the upcoming film's possible location. In the photo, the picturesque skyline of New York was used as the background. It means that "Fast & Furious 8" will be shot in the Big Apple.

Previous reports claim that the movie will follow Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell) in New York after he helped Diesel's character Dom Toretto in capturing Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) in "Furious 7." Little is revealed about Mr. Nobody's character in the movie, but it seems that Toretto and his crew will follow him to New York to learn his story.

"Furious 7," the most recent movie from the series released early last month, was hailed as the fourth highest grossing movie of all time after earning more than $1 billion worldwide. It was the last film that Paul Walker, one of the original lead stars of the franchise, worked on before he died in a tragic car accident in 2013. The film series was then thought to end with "Furious 7," but the success of the movie undoubtedly inspired Universal Pictures to produce another installment to continue the action-packed series.

Aside from Diesel, Statham, and Russell, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is also expected to return to the next installment. Eva Mendez from "2 Fast 2 Furious" is reportedly in talks with the producers of the film, as well as "Furious 7's" director James Wan to lead the production of the upcoming movie.
