The reboot of the "Fantastic Four" movie has gone through a lot of uphill battles with production delays, rumors of issues on set, and changes to the characters that may upset core fans of the comic book source material. Fox recently released four new featurettes giving a better look at the cast, and an official photo of The Thing has also surfaced online.

The featurettes focus on the four lead actors: Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Miles Teller, and Jamie Bell.

During the first featurette, director Josh Trank explains that he and Michael B. Jordan had a good working relationship when they were doing "Chronicle" and that he knew the actor is the right guy to cast as Johnny Storm a.k.a. The Human Torch.

Kate Mara's featurette showcases her character Sue Storm fighting Jonny Storm, giving the audience a quick glimpse of their powers and the film's special effects. Trank then explains that her chemistry with Jordan is the reason why she was cast as Johnny Storm's sister.

The video featurette for Miles Teller showcases the actor as Mr. Fantastic donning a lab suit and walking into a science lab. Trank explains that Teller auditioned for a part in "Chronicle" but was eventually not given a role. Despite this, Trank felt that he would work with Teller on another project, eventually leading to his casting in "Fantastic Four."

Jamie Bell's featurette did not reveal too much, showcasing his character Ben Grimm playing baseball and then a quick shot of him transformed as The Thing. The video explains that it isn't just about his physical strength but that Ben Grimm as a person has a lot of pent-up anger inside of him.

The featurettes were then followed by photos posted on Empire and Entertainment Weekly. Some of the photos reveal the four characters in suits, but the most revealing photos were those of The Thing. These early photos give the best look thus far of Bell's character after transforming.

"Fantastic Four" is scheduled to hit theaters on Aug. 7.
