Could Bethesda Softworks finally break the ice on when Fallout 4 will actually be released?

It is believed that the highly touted role-playing game is due to be released just months from now. The last game installment was released in 2010 with Fallout New Vegas which was then developed by Obsidian Entertainment.

This time around Bethesda Softworks, the same company responsible for Fallout 3 in 2008, is expected to release all future Fallout installments. To those who are unaware, Bethesda is also behind other popular games like Wolfenstein, Elder Scrolls 6 and Dishonored.

Bethesda is expected to make the official announcement when the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) kicks off this coming June at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.

Though the press conference is good news for Fallout fans, there is a chance that the game could be introduced but not pointing to an immediate release. The earliest release date that the Fallout 4 could have would either be late this year or in early 2016.

Keep in mind that Bethesda also has another game that many gamers are eagerly awaiting in Elder Scrolls 6. The press conference could be a launch pad as well for that game and from the looks of it Fallout 4 could be released after it. If that should be the case, there is a big chance that its release could very well be pushed for 2016.

As for the game setting, many believe that Fallout 4 would be set in a Chicago or New York post-apocalyptic setting. Fallout 3 in 2008 was set in a Washington D.C. setting while Fallout New Vegas had its one in Las Vegas in 2010.

Fallout 4 is expected to be released with versions for the PS4, Xbox One and the PC.
