While rumors about Eminem dropping a new album this year have been rampant, the rap god hasn't addressed these reports. However, he has been busy with various projects.

Eminem is set to produce and write music for the "Narc" television series being the developed by Joe Carnahan, the man behind the 2002 crime thriller film of the same name that inspired the show in the first place.

According to Deadline, Eminem is in negotiations to be executive producer for the show and also a music supervisor, so he will be writing original songs for the upcoming series.

There's already a pilot script for the "Narc" television series written by Carnahan, who is set to be the director and executive producer of the series.

If Eminem ends up being a big part of "Narc," it looks like his long-awaited album won't come around anytime soon. Its existence is yet to be confirmed by the rapper as well.

According to previous rumors, Eminem has been in and out of the recording studio putting his 2016 album together. There were reports that most of the album is complete, but lack of inspiration allegedly impairs Eminem from completing the rest of it.

Eminem has recently re-released his "The Marshall Mathers LP" along with memorabilia from his childhood home in Detroit that was demolished for security purposes.

The rapper also recently partnered with StockX, a so-called "online stock market of things" that is home to limited edition items. The hip-hop superstar offered shoes from his personal collection.

"Sneakers have always been a huge interest of mine, for at least as long as I've been rapping, and I'm proud of the fact that I've had so many collaborations with Nike and Jordan Brand," Eminem said in a statement.

"When I found out that they happen to be doing it from downtown Detroit, it made even more sense to get involved," he went on to say.

Eminem is also one of the artists to be featured on the official soundtrack of the upcoming DC Comics film "Suicide Squad" with his 2002 hit "Without Me."
