Fans of the "Elder Scrolls" game franchise might have to wait a little longer before the sixth installment comes out, if rumors turn out to be true.

Previous reports claimed that the highly anticipated "Elder Scrolls 6" might not be released anytime soon since game developer Bethesda is still concentrating all their efforts on the release of "Fallout 4." Moreover, the latest news says that even after "Fallout 4" comes out in November, the development for "Elder Scrolls 6" will remain as one of the game studio's least priorities because they still need to provide continuous support for the upcoming role-playing game from the "Fallout" series.

It seems that Bethesda is putting a lot of effort on its upcoming game as it forecasted that the sales of "Fallout 4" will surpass the figures of "Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" that was released in 2011.

"I think this can top Skyrim," Bethesda's VP for Marketing Peter Hines told MCV UK. "It could be our biggest release ever. But we will see. It is part of my job to build the megaphone that we hold up to the game, and the game decides how loud it goes. Just how big it is going to be is hard to say. 'Skyrim' was a massively big deal."

The current "Elder Scrolls" installment managed to sell more than 3.4 million disc copies two days after its release back in November 2011, and it reached more than 20 million sold copies as of June 2013. To top this, "Fallout 4" should also sell over 20 million copies in a span of two years after its release on Nov. 10.

While waiting for "Elder Scrolls 6," fans can still enjoy playing "Elder Scrolls Online" especially since there is a new DLC for PC and Mac, and it will also have an Xbox One version to be released on Sept. 15 and a PlayStation 4 version on Sept. 16. The new "Elder Scrolls Online: The Imperial City" DLC will bring added dungeons, quests, characters, and enemies, more currencies, weapons and armors, as well as other exclusive items and collectibles.
