Christians around the world will be celebrating Easter this Sunday, April 20.

A number of exciting events will take place in New York City, including egg hunts and the Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival.

The annual Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival will see New Yorkers sport unique bonnets and march along Fifth Avenue. This year's parade will begin 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Easter sunday. The parade route will begin at St. Patrick's Cathedral, from E. 49th to E. 57th streets. The Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival has been a tradition since 1870.

The Faberge Bigg Egg Hunt will see over 260 large Easter eggs designed by artists and architects. New Yorkers are urged to find the eggs and report their findings on social media with the hashtag #thebigegghuntny.

A downloadable map is available for the Faberge Big Egg Hunt, available for mobile devices. The egg artwork is set to be auctioned off at Sotheby's on April 22, with the money going towards NYC's  public schools.

The Queens Botanical Garden will also host an egg hunt on Saturday, between 12:00-1:30 p.m. and 2:00-3.30 p.m.
