Duggars thank modern technology for helping connect them to Dillard family

It is extremely difficult for some members of a tightly knit family such as the Duggars from the recently cancelled TLC show "19 Kids and Counting" to live far away from one another. As such when the Dillard family—consisting of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's daughter Jill, her husband Derick, and their infant Israel David—decided to go to Central America to start a new ministry, it was hard for the family to say goodbye to them.

Jim Bob and Michelle could not be prouder of their daughter and her family for embarking on a new mission to serve God and share their faith, but this does not mean that they do not constantly miss her. At the same time, they sorely missed their fourth grandbaby.

Thankfully though, they help keep in touch with one another through the use of modern technology. Not only do they call or have video chats with one another, but Jill also makes sure to send her parents lots of pictures of Israel David.

On their Facebook page, the Duggar family recently shared a photo of a smiling Israel David sporting a Pistol Pete onesie, and they captioned it: "Look at this sweet little Israel! Yes we are in love. So thankful for modern technology that lets us stay in touch with him and his mom and dad while they serve on the mission field."

Jill shared on the Dillard Family Blog that they are currently busy taking language lessons, but they will return to the United States for a short while sometime this month to reunite with family members and take a rest.
