Fans of rappers Drake and Lil Wayne will definitely be thrilled with this new interactive application, which will be made available to all iPhone and Android users.

Prior to the start of their Drake vs Lil Wayne tour, the duo had an app launched to further escalate the enjoyment of their fans. The app, which is called DvsLW, will enable the pair's fans to participate or become more involved in the tour's night rap battle.

According to report from Billboard, the app will allow fans to choose their city, opt for either Drake or Lil Wayne character, and "button mash" to support the team they selected by providing a "power up" during the ongoing rap battle for that night. The activities of fans in this app is said to be able to actually impact the live performances of the artists.

"will enable fans to select their city, pick a side (Drake or Lil Wayne) during each night's rap battle and "button mash" as if they were playing the latest Ultra Street Fighter IV video game to help their favorite rapper 'power up' and impact their performances in real time," announces Billboard to the pair's fans.

The app DvsLW was developed in collaboration with Capcom, which is also the tour sponsor. As the video-game publisher of highly popular game Street Fighter, which is coincidentally the theme of the rappers' tour, the interactive app is said to virtually follow the same format.

In a statement, both Drake and Lil Wayne announced their excitement for the said app.

"We are both thrilled that our fans will get the unique opportunity to join us in this interactive experience," the rappers shared.

Despite the considerable cost of developing an interactive app specifically for certain events, such as concerts and tours, Drake's management company October's Very Own clearly has no qualms splurging on the top rating artist. The app was designed by iam8bit, an Echo Park-based production company, in cooperation with Drake's management company, Young Money Entertainment, and Capcom.
