Well-known country singer Dolly Parton has never shied away from talking about her Christian faith. The singer is actually proud of her relationship with God, saying her devotion helps calm her pre-show jitters.

During an interview with TODAY on Wednesday, Parton probably shared too much information as she discussed her new tour called "Pure & Simple." When asked what she does before every show, Parton did not blink an eyelash as she answered, "Well, I pray and pee in that order."

Parton said all her shows are like family reunions, adding that she "never meets a stranger" while on tour. She added that beinging a singer is what God "called" for her to do, so her music always has a tinge of faith.

"When I grow up I'm going to be a big star. If I can hold God's attention, I can hold the whole world!" she was quoted as saying in her movie "Coat of Many Colors."

Meanwhile, Parton earlier revealed to CBN News that a lot of the things she learned in church as a child play a major part in her life and music.

"I keep all that stuff very close to my heart. I grew up knowing that Jesus loves me. And I knew that through God all things were possible. I grew up with those things that we just heard all the time. My grandfather was a really good preacher," Parton said.

"I Will Always Love You," in particular, was written by God, said Parton. "People say, 'Well, I am surprised that you talk about your faith,' and I say, 'Why not? That's who I am. That's what keeps me going.' Any time I write something that is just a line that I know didn't come from me, I just sort of say, 'Hey, give me a high five, Lord. Give me a thumbs up,'" she said.
