Throughout her career, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has made a living grounding her opponents with her dreaded arm bar hold.

But for those who caught her last match against Bethe Correia at UFC 190, it may be noticed that Rousey is using a new stand-up striking move that leveled and knocked out the PItBull.

Could Rousey use this new move against Holly Holm?

For those who missed , it has been recently announced that Rousey will be facing Holly Holm in 2016, a surprise announcement that caught many off guard.

Holm is a former boxer-turned-mixed martial artist who was likewise surprised at how she ended up facing the UFC champ. Just the same, Holm is not about to complain seeing that it is an opportunity that any fighter would certainly not pass up.

But the thing is, how prepared is Holm against Rousey who has yet to face defeat?

As far as Rousey is concerned, don't be surprised if she continues to use her striking ability against Holm once more, a new move that is as deadly as her punishing arm bar hold. But Holm is one of the best strikers in the sport as well today. So will it end up as a battle between two fighters in terms of who has the better strike.

Regardless, Holm believes that if she gets defeated using the move, it will be another feather on Rousey's cap.

So while Holm remains clueless on why she gained the nod, it is apparent that it is a test to see just how perfect Rousey's new move will be against one of the best strikers in the UFC circle.

Will Rousey indeed resort to the striking maneuver or at some point revert to her familiar hold if things don't pan up well?

If things get chippy, Rousey could revert to the arm bar move and focus on the win. But then again, that would mean that she needs to work on the move some more with the title of best striker staying on with Holly Holm.
