Detroit Lions vs Jacksonville Jaguars preview, live stream info: How to watch NFL 2015 preseason football online

The Detroit Lions will play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday night in Week 3 of the NFL 2015 preseason. Week 3 is usually when things start to get more serious, so we can expect both teams to give starters more field time, and for intensity to be turned up a notch or two from previous weeks. The game has a scheduled start time of 8 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream via the link below.

Both teams will be looking to bounce back from defeats in Week 2, although there is usually a stark contrast in the importance placed on games between Weeks 2 and 3 of the preseason.

That means both rosters will be looking at today's game as a much more accurate measure as to where their teams are in preparations for the coming season.

Players as well will be much more tense this week, as Week 3 will have strong implications for fringe players and whether they make the starting line up and roster spots or not.

The Jaguars have had a tough few years recently but last year there were some hopeful signs that things could be getting better. One of those hopeful signs was quarterback Blake Bortles, who had a reasonably strong rookie year that show promise for the future. He threw for 2,908 yards for 11 touchdowns to show he has something, but he will be hoping to clamp down on the interceptions this season - last year he threw 17 interceptions and went just 3-10 as a starter.

This preseason he has continued to make progress and has completed 19 of 31 throws for 216 yards. He also showed he has quick thinking in his armory as he rushed for a touchdown as well, adding some diversity to his developing skills.
