'Criminal Minds' season 12 episode 7 spoilers: Mystery of the name from premiere to finally be solved as Mr. Scratch makes his return

Next week on "Criminal Minds" season 12, Dr. Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler) will experience the strangest of family reunions in episode 7, "Mirror Image."

A man (Alimi Ballard) is pretending to be the FBI forensic psychologist's brother, Gabriel (Terrence Terrell). Whatever his agenda is, he came prepared as he knew everything there is to know about his supposed family.

The promo for "Criminal Minds" season 12 episode 7 showed the mystery man doing his best to convince Tara's father that he is the real Gabriel by reminding him of how much he wants the family to be together again.

But Tara immediately sees right through the act and begins to worry about her brother when she is unable to contact him. It turns out that the real Gabriel was kidnapped and is being kept in a secret location.

Tara admits whoever this impostor is, he is good in playing characters, but she will do everything to uncover his true identity and his intentions.

According to the description for the upcoming episode, Ballard plays the role of Desmond Holt, who also happens to be Mr. Scratch's (Bodhi Elfman) next victim.

Fans will remember that back in the season premiere, Mr. Scratch also known as Peter Lewis, encircled the name Desmond Holt declaring him as his new target.

This was not addressed in the following episodes, though, but it looks like "Criminal Minds" season 12 episode 7 will finally uncover the mystery of Desmond Holt.

On the surface, it would appear that Mr. Scratch has something to do with Tara's brother being abducted and replaced by a completely different person.

Interestingly, Elfman will also be in this installment so it looks like the show will make a big progress on the Mr. Scratch storyline in this episode.

"Criminal Minds" season 12 episode 7, "Mirror Image," airs on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
