With the highly anticipated rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz drawing closer, the training gets more intense and so do the insults hurled.

During his appearance at "The Conan O'Brien Show," Diaz was shown a message from McGregor, who was supposed to be there with him but could not make it.

In the video, the Irishman, who firstly called out Diaz for wearing the same black t-shirt for "the past 20 years," told his rival that he is "taking this contest very, very seriously. I've flown in specific body types to replicate Nate's skinny, tall frame."

"The boy won the lotto the last time. He knows it. I know it. Well, Aug. 20 I'll get my revenge and I look forward to it," McGregor went on to say.

Diaz kept it short and sweet as he responded to McGregor, by saying that "the truth will come out" in Aug. 20, where they meet again for the much-awaited McGregor vs. Diaz 2.

Indeed, McGregor knows this is no time to play around. Thirsty to redeem himself after his loss to Diaz, McGregor is "100 times more serious," as revealed by his coach John Kavanagh in a Periscope Q & A.

Diaz has been intensely preparing for the rematch as well. Ricky Funez, head coach at Ten Goose Boxing Gym where the former UFC lightweight fighter trains, said that he is close to hitting the 200-pound mark weeks prior to McGregor vs. Diaz 2.

The Ultimate Fighter 5 champ usually fights at 155 lbs, which means that Diaz has been putting a lot of weight for this much-awaited bout. Weeks ahead of the match, he is already looking jacked.

McGregor vs. Diaz 2 will take place at UFC 202 on Aug. 20 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. McGregor is intent on snagging the win and returning to 145 lbs to defend his UFC featherweight belt.

During the same Periscope session, Kavanagh said that McGregor is "hoping" he will fight at the Madison Square Garden on Nov. 12 for UFC 205.
