God's plans don't often make sense to people, but comedian and actor Tracy Morgan believes people should simply trust God in whatever He's doing.

Morgan, who starred in the show "30 Rock," said he believes even his 2014 car accident was all part of God's bigger plan for his life. During a guest appearance on "The Breakfast Club" radio show, the actor said instead of getting upset over what happened, he used the lesson learned from that car accident to deepen his faith.

"God has a way of showing you," Morgan said. "Be patient: He'll show you, but you have to be patient. You [are not] playing checkers, you're playing chess. It takes years for some moves to be made. If you want to know, God will show you. If you want to know, just pray! Get close to Him [and ask], 'God, show me. Show me.'"

But even if God does show people the way, Morgan acknowledged that they won't always be happy about it. Hence, he advises them to be understanding and look at the bigger picture.

"Now, you better be strong if He shows you. It might not go your way. Don't be mad. That's all a part of the plan. All a part of the plan. The accident, all of it. It's all a part of the plan. God is a genius. It's all a part of the plan," he stressed.

Before ending the interview, Morgan was asked by the radio hosts to close the show with a prayer. They all held hands and Morgan led the prayer: "Jehovah, please watch over us. Please protect us. Please give us the strength. Please give us love. Please show us a different way in this world. Please guide us and protect us. In Jesus' name, Amen."
