AJ Lee has officially returned to the WWE and even won the WWE Divas Championship belt from Paige on RAW. This fuelled rumors that CM Punk might follow suit.

However, it looks like returning to the WWE is not included in the July schedule of the former WWE wrestler. What is surely on the agenda is co-hosting the first annual Gibson Brands AP Music Awards, which will take place on July 21, reports Lords of Pain.

Phil Brooks, CM Punk's real name, is set to co-host the event at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. This will not be the first non-wrestling related event that Punk will be attending. Let's just say, he's been pretty busy after he "retired." Punk has been enjoying his free time by watching baseball games and even appearing on AMC's "Talking Dead" and IFC's "Maron."

CM Punk, in an official statement about the upcoming appearance said, "Well, I'm actually stoked to get out of the house and get gussied up for the first-ever Gibson Brands AP Music Awards, fueled by Monster Energy Drink. Red carpets and me don't mix, so I figure it'll be a perfectly hilarious night with friends and a live microphone-my favorite! Be there and be square!"

July 17 marks the end of Punk's contract with the WWE. Fans are hoping that they will get to see their favorite wrestler back in the ring before the said date. However, PW Insider sources say this is unlikely. The source was asked if there were any changes with Punk's status with the WWE now that AJ Lee has returned, one sourced simply said "Nope," while the other source said "I'm not going there."

PW Insider also says that Lee's return has "no bearing at all" with Punk's relationship with the WWE. Punk walked out of the company back in January, citing frustration with his character and burn out as reasons of the walkout.

Punk has beaten Hulk Hogan as the longest reigning WWE champion. He considers himself as a retired wrestler now. For avid fans who want to see Punk, catch him on the Gibson Brands AP Music Awards on July 21.
