UKCMC will also use part of the funds raised for clean water projects in communities in impoverished countries.

As part of its fundraising initiative, it is inviting 1,000 people, churches or organisations to become part of its “UKCMC 1,000 Club” by donating £10 or £20.

Members will receive regular Christian music news and updates about the impact of the ministry’s work.

UKCMC programme has gone from strength to strength since it was first founded by Mark Pearce and Paul Sheppard in 2006 to fill the gap in contemporary Christian music programming for young Christians in the UK.

It has profiled popular UK artists such as Philippa Hanna, Jahaziel, The Gathering, TBWNN, yfriday and Blush.
