Contemporary Christian singer Chris Tomlin had always dreamt about going on a "Worship Night in America" tour. Now that he will soon be in one such tour, there is no words that can describe his joy and excitement.

When Breathe Cast asked the singer about his plans for the tour and the future, Tomlin decided to answer the question in the form of prayers.

"I'd like to see this 'Worship Night in America' become something that is a yearly thing or maybe every couple years, but that it continues on and becomes something that is bigger than me," he prayed. "I pray for continued songs of that path that God set me on, of writing songs for the church. I pray for continued songs for the presence of God to touch people always. I'm praying for those songs I try to write in that way."

Not only is Tomlin focused on his career, but he also cares a great deal about his family who is always in his prayers. For his "personal place," Tomlin prayed that his "amazing young family" will be raised in the right way. He also prayed to be a good husband and father to his kids.

"There's nothing more important than that," he stressed.

His "Worship Night in America" tour will begin on Aug. 8 in New York City's Madison Square Garden, followed by Denver's Red Rocks Amphitheater on Aug. 13, and Sacramento's Sleep Train Arena on Aug. 15. He will be joined by fellow Christian artists such as Louie Giglio, Max Lucado, Matt Redman, Kari Jobe, Rend Collective, Israel Houghton, Matt Maher, Phil Wickham, and Hillsong's Reuben Morgan.

"He's blessed us greatly. We have so much to be grateful for. I believe it's a moment to say thank you. I believe it's on point for where we are as a country to pray together," Tomlin said about the tour.
